still trying to get my legs back. It's almsot unsettling how much I dislike what I have produced recently; seems mostly at times like I can't get what I want onto the page at all - the most irritating part of this being that I've been keeping up with sketchbooks, but it's almost like some things have managed to attrophy even while practicing.
<growl> anyways, tones are too large once the page is shrunk down (that's the biggest complaint) I think If I am going to use penciled images for pages I am going to have to start using the same coloring techniques I use on other images rather than using the tones - theres just too much fo a clash when I mix the two.
And yes; this introduction thingy is actually just me practicing and working the stiffness out of my page-making muscles so to speak :3 With any luck I'll be done making stuff Im going to complain about by the end of it.
That way I can always go back and just redo it: yeah I know I don't have a spectacular track record for that sort of thing - but we are only talking about three pages here.
*EDIT*
I should really have put a disclamer about drafts and spelling errors. And ho the two go hand in hand. The text is only there so you can see what's going on and I can measure out the space needed for the captions - don't try to proofread something that is rough; it's futile. And moderately annoying.
One of the problems with doing the lettering at the last layer; is that I have often lost mojo at that point and don't double check what I am doing. Much like when I post comments

The story seems interesting so far. You misspelled deceased in the first caption, by the way. I hear that photoshop can convert images into halftone, but I don't have the full version of photoshop so I can't comment on how effective that is. Open canvas has some simple dot tone patterns you can use too. The trial is free. Hope that might help?

Im not really familiar with what youre talking, but by judging the way you do comics and the looks of this one in particular, I'll take my chances by guessing you do it in Deleter? I dont know. >__>;
maybe its too naive of me to suggest this but, Have you tried to save the jpeg first then shrink it on PS? I mean- if you really are into tones and such ( cause i like tones, and im very into weave intrincate, yet unnecessary ways to render artwork.). Anywho nice stuff as always. (:
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
